"Trip during May before peak season. Melany and the team were extraordinary for our Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley trip. Upon arriving at Cusco airport, we utilized Taxi Datum service to transit to the hotel. Be aware that typical traffic in Cusco will turn into a 2hr+ trip. On our return back to Cusco, the hotel staff arranged a taxi for us at a better rate than Taxi Datum. Did not try to negotiate rates at the city center. The hotel is a reasonable 15-20min walk to the train station for transit to Machu Picchu/Aguas Calientes. You are a <10min walk from city center plaza. And walking distance from the free granary hike. The nearby ruins are 70soles per person and well worth it. The included breakfast is fairly reasonable and made to order. Let the hotel staff know when you want to have breakfast and they will have it ready for you at that time. The rooms are standard and average. Clean sheets and towels but not your luxury linens or pillows. Pro tip: talk to the hotel staff about their special payment plan upon arrival. You will be paying less at a good discount than what your booking site states. Overall, great experience with this hotel and this central location. In one day, we were able to experience most of the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo ruins, granary, Moray, Moras Salt mine and Chincero) in less than 8hrs."

"We got sick in our trip (both my partner and I ended up at the hospital) and we tried to communicate with them, we communicated only few our later our free cancellation window through booking.com. There was no communication from the hotel, they didn’t tried to find a solution ( e.g changes of dates, voucher for later stay etc…)and just charged our credit card. This is very strict and shows a clear lack of compassion and professionalism. This is the only hotel in our trip in Peru which behaved like this. Disappointing, I would stay away."

"See the other reviews. Friendly people, and the place has a nice atmosphere. While having breakfast, the sounds of people having fun with eachother came from the kitchen. Pleasant vibes."

"The bed sheets and pillows are the dirtiest in my whole one month trip in Peru. I have 3 beds and none of them is very clean - either pillow or bed sheets has black stains. A friend from another room reported the same issue. And also - be very careful when you book the service from them. I clearly said that i need a return bus ticket, but the worker booked a single ticket for 60, while all the rest place in the town will ask only 50 for one way. So I had to pay 40 more to come back somewhere without wifi or signal. The lady is sneaky- She also wanted to charge me more than the booking price when checking in. This place is at the farest corner in town. Nothing nearby. Rooms are simple."
