"Yes, this is definitely a spot designed for tourists, but it’s actually well worth the stop. We spent over an hour here and our group really enjoyed it. The demonstration of the weaving and dyeing process is fascinating. They showed us live how they use parasites (cochineal) to create vibrant red dyes, and how adding something as simple as lemon juice changes the acidity to create yellows and oranges. It’s a great hands-on way to understand local traditions. Of course, there is a shopping area at the end, but the staff were not pushy at all. They give you the space to look around, and the prices are quite reasonable compared to other places. If you want to learn about the history behind these beautiful textiles without feeling pressured to buy, this is a great place to visit."
