"Very nice alpaca sweaters and less expensive than the touristic shops The only downside, is there was not as much of a selection as some of the larger stores"

"We had an unfortunate experience. We bought a scarf with cash (using two 50 soles bills and one 100 soles bill) and a sweater with amex. We completed the purchase and then asked if they could hold the items while we walked around a few hours. When we returned to pick up, they accused us having paid for the scarf with a 50 pesos bill, not a 50 soles bill. Pesos are Mexican currency (equal to 9 soles). They insisted we resolve with the money exchange company we used across the street. The money exchange guy was insulted and had to check their camera footage to try to prove their innocence but the footage was not clear enough. They said they called the police but no one ever arrived in the couple hrs we were there trying to resolve this. We’re from the US, east coast, and have nothing to do with Mexico. They had originally completed the sale so it was not our issue really, but they held our items hostage until we gave them 25 soles, as a compromise , to resolve. Why would we use Mexican currency? And then come back to pick up our stuff risking this supposed grift? Why would we spend hours trying to resolve this on precious vacation time, after a long day, for the equivalence of $13? It was ridiculous and we paid but felt robbed and returned the 520 soles sweater we bought with credit because we were so insulted."

"I would like to thank sincerely the Etno Alpaca Company from Peru for their dedicated efforts to send me the three wonderful sweaters that I had ordered. All three of them are being worn with great appreciation."

"I went to this store and bought a poncho which I have been told is made of merino wool. Unfortunately, it's made of regular wool. The owner accepted to reimburse me saying that she did not want trouble. Unfortunately she could not revert the credit card charge and offered to pay back in local currency... There are many other shopping options... I feel bad/stupid believing the sale lady... I should have known."
