"From the moment we considered booking with Healing Tree, we were treated so well. At first we spoke with Italo, he helped us prepare, understand what we were doing, a 3 day Huachuma ceremony. We were delayed a day due to flight issues and they were very accommodating allowing us to shift everything a day, telling us not to stress, remain calm and it will all work out perfectly. When we arrived, Alfredo came to our airbnb and helped us with the salt water cleanse, further explaining the next steps and process for the ceremony. He was so knowledgeable and very kind. After our retreat he also met us and made sure we made it to our next Airbnb. He offered us any recommendations should we need it. And we did take him up on that with help arranging a driver to tour the sacred valley at our own pace, and a delicious local cuisine restaurant. Alfredo was truly wonderful. When we arrived at the retreat, we were met by our host Aquile’s, we were shown to our rooms which were lovely, very large and had our own bathroom and shower. After being shown to our rooms, we were brought tea to help calm our systems, and given time to settle. We met with our Maestra, Lucía Shaman Andina after this, I was delighted to learn our Maestra was a lady, as a female in a group of men, I was so happy to find this out. She was beautiful, she sang wonderfully, was very connected with nature, she had a wonderful personality and was quite funny. During our ceremony, we were surrounded by nature after a little hike, and the second day we hiked to a beautiful waterfall and made an offering to Pachamama. Things that I prayed for began happening immediately after. Aquiles had a beautiful voice, played many wonderful flutes, was very personable, spoke wonderful English, and had a great sense of humour as well. He communicated with the Maestra for us and translated everything. The bond between the Maestra and Aquiles was wonderful, made it easy to relax, their easy going demeaner with one another was perfect for the environment we had hoped for. Huachuma was hard on my stomach, however I anticipated this. I felt my body was what required the healing, they were so helpful in my recovery for this, from specialty teas, special fruits and suggestions on how to recover. From the moment of first inquiry to the moment we left Peru many days later we were treated so amazingly, the ceremony, Maestra and staff were wonderful. I highly recommend the Healing Tree Center if you are considering working with any plant medicine experiences. I know they offer more than just San Pedro (Huachuma)."
