My horse, Riti (“snow” in Quechua), completely stole my heart 🥹 a curious wanderer who would happily pause to sniff flowers or greet passing cows. He even has one blue eye and one brown eye, which makes him as striking as he is gentle. Our guide, Alai, was incredible cool, energetic, and full of knowledge about horses, the landscape. She made the ride engaging and fun, while also making us feel safe. The scenery was breathtaking, the horses clearly well cared for, and the whole experience led us to a less travelled path. "Had an amaaazing ride with the sweetest guides and the sweetest horse, Domingo. You could see how loved and cared for the animals where. The Pumahuanca Forrest is stunning and even the lunch was extraordinary. This was one of the highlights of my one month travel in Peru, would recommend 10/10 if you love horseriding and like to explore Peru in a different way, a little bit off the beaten track."
