"It’s been about seven months since my retreat, where I participated in three ayahuasca ceremonies and one San Pedro ceremony. Each night was different and I don’t think there’s a single takeaway you can package and hand to someone else. The experience gives you something based on what you bring into it and how honestly you’re willing to approach it. These are traditional medicines tied to a real culture and history. If someone comes expecting a spectacle or entertainment, they’re going to miss the point. The environment reflects that. This is not a resort and it doesn’t try to be one. You’re removed from distractions so you can actually sit with yourself. You’re comfortable, but comfort isn’t the focus. Erick and Nilda were warm hosts, but more importantly they were clear and transparent about the process. I never felt like anything was being mystified or hidden behind ceremony alone. They acknowledged both the spiritual framing and the psychological reality of what you go through, and the one-on-one conversations the following day helped me process what came up instead of just leaving it as an intense night. Months later I’m still unpacking parts of it. For me, it reached places I hadn’t been able to access through conventional therapy alone. That doesn’t mean it replaces anything or works the same for everyone, but the impact has been lasting and practical in my day-to-day life. I wouldn’t describe it as pleasant or unpleasant — it was meaningful. And that’s really what I went there for."

"A journey of Ayahuasca is deeply personal on many levels. However the exterior environment and professionalism can greatly affect the outcome of the process. In all of these Sapan Inka center has been excellent. I have not only been a guest or participant in their House but I have felt I became a part of a spiritual family. The House is a true sacred space , with a clean , welcoming and deep atmosphere. But what is most important: Erik and Nidal have both have a long history for over 10+ years training and 25+ years working with the Medicine, having been selected as healers, having fought the battles of overcoming and becoming to be true guides. What is more: very rarely does a shaman have overlook on both traditional AND scientific/ psychological aspects of the process, but Erik and Nidal are one of those very rare ones, even going for a PhD in psychology. Their real interest in learning and evolving while combining a deep understanding of plant medicine makes Sapan Inka a unique and hard to find place on Earth. On my 5 day retreat I happened to find myself in a unique situation: I was the only one participating on the retreat (has not happened for years)! But the shamans gave me all their effort and attention and went through the process nonetheless as normal. This was a great help for me having travelled across the world not to cancel my retreat and I am humbled to have received All of their support and truly professional guidance. I was also offered to contact them any time in the future if I have any further questions on my spiritual development. This was beyond any doubt one of the highlights of my spiritual life and I have had the chance to experience it with true mentors and real friends in a blessed space. I admit decision before has not been easy for me, but I encourage everyone still thinking: take the leap."

"ThIs was my third time visiting Sapan Inka over the course of fifteen years. I trust no other Shaman at this point. You have to be willing to go through the darkness and experience the painful parts of your own existence in order to also experience the light. While it might seem cold and aloof at times, it’s really just your own reflection staring you in the face. Erik and Nilda are the real deal. If you are willing to listen to the instruction, and then follow it, it only leads to growth. There are some people on here who have criticized the work that they do, and I say, they are merely a mirror showing us what we need to see to learn and grow. Some can see it, and some cannot. There are also people who seek out these retreats for “an experience.” I wouldn’t recommend going here if you’re just looking to fulfill a bucket list. They are healers and if you want lasting change, enter into it wholeheartedly and with reverence, and you will walk out a changed person."

"This retreat was incredible, after coming here I wouldn't want to go to any other retreat in the world. From start to finish it was perfect. From the start you can tell how much respect they give the plant medicine and it's not a party witch some places are. You had to go through a interview process to make sure your the right person for the retreat with an age limit as well witch ment the group you share the retreat with is perfect and in the right mind Nd dedication to the process. The retreat is nestled between 2 mountains and the area is so beautiful, meditation outside in there garden was a very in touch with nature experience. The temple witch you have the ceremony in is an incredible setting and we were lucky to have a shaman from the Amazon to join us and help balance the energy of the temple through the ceremonies, the Amazonian songs were stunning, a true once in a life time experience. After the ceremony you had the choice to leave the temple or get help and support from the owners witch was good as you could tailor to what you needed. I opted to go to my room to continue the experience, this is where I had thee most profound and meaningful parts of my experience, the soul needs silence and solitude sometimes to have the most profound experience so going to my room to carry on the experience into the night was perfect, you also could have support from the owners in your room if needed as it can be intense at times witch could be hard to deal with for some people. Each ceremony was different, each experience was different, but over the 3 ceremonys they each told a intertwined story for you to make sense of and if you prepared properly for weeks before, focusing on your intentions for the retreat, looking within your self to truly understand what it is you want to learn, heal or experience, then you will have a profound and life changing time here. You also had a talking session with the owners every morning about your experience, helping make sense of, integrating thought and creating meaning and insite into what happened. This was very important, they have 25+ years of experience of having the plant medicine as well as conducting ceremonies, learnt the traditional way, so there knowledge and support was incredibly important and helped me greatly. The food was also very nice as well as the rooms were so clean and comfortable. If you are mature enough and prepare properly for this retreat, you will get everything out of it you wish. Over all this place and experience will stay with me forever, I can't thank them enough for everything they did for us (me and my girlfriend) we are truly grateful. Love jack and Harriet Ps. "I recently attended a retreat at Sapan Inka, where I participated in three Ayahuasca ceremonies. Throughout the entire process, I felt supported and genuinely cared for by Erik and Nilda. The retreat house was very comfortable, the food was nourishing, and the setting in the Sacred Valley was stunning. The experience felt authentic to tradition, especially as two of the ceremonies were held with a visiting shaman from the Amazon. Their presence brought a powerful and traditional energy to the space. The Icaros (medicine songs) were particularly special and became an essential part of my journey. Erik and Nilda have over 20 years of experience working with Ayahuasca and the shaman, which gave me a strong sense of safety. The ceremonies were conducted in a highly intentional way, with doses tailored to each individual. Before the first ceremony and again the morning after each one, we had private conversations with Erik. I found this to be especially important for understanding and integrating the experience. Now, a month later, I can truly feel the positive impact the retreat has had on me. I’ve gained greater self-awareness, a deeper trust in life, and a renewed sense of gratitude. It was a profound and meaningful experience that I’ll carry with me always, and I would love to return in the future to continue the work with Ayahuasca.
