"Tambomachay is known as the “Bath of the Inca” and is believed to have been used for ritual purification, with its series of aqueducts, canals, and waterfalls designed to channel water in a precise and continuous flow. It’s often associated with water worship and possibly served as a place for spiritual cleansing before connecting with the gods. We didn’t go as far in as we could have. By this point, it was our fourth set of ruins, it was cold, getting close to dark, and we were pretty tired. That definitely affected how much we took in, but what we did see—the water features in particular—stood out as something a bit different from the other sites. Martin Boyce Barbados"
