"San Pedro (& Ayahuasca) Retreat - Best in Cusco! Recommend this awakening journey for cultural & spiritual experience seekers! I heard about San Pedro from a blog article about Shamanic medicines and did research online before I signed up. When I met Angel's team, they did not push for sale, instead, they asked me to fill out a questionnaire about my health status for evaluation, and explained the ceremony process clearly in a very professional way. The ceremony was held on one of the Inkalltambo trails nearby the famous ruins Sacsayhuaman in Cusco. Beneath the site of Temple of the Moon, we started the ceremony by a Shaman with over 40 years experiences in healing & Peruvian plant medicines. Angel was the translator accompanying us throughout the ceremony, and more than a translator, he was also well knowledgeable about Inca history & living culture in details. Even though I could merely understand few words in Spanish and Quechua spoken by the Shaman, Angel explained to me the process would be calling for natural forces, asking for forgiveness, spiritual cleansing, flourishing blessing then, drinking up two classes of San Pedro in thorough details and all knowledge behind it. So when the ceremony began, I could focus on the rituals & chanting in foreign language with full awareness of what was happening. We took a long but easy walk on the beautiful Inkalltambo grass paths, and sat down in the wild for sometime. My mind entered the state that all senses were sharpened but I remained in high consciousness. So to speak, I felt actually more than ordinarily conscious, but connected seamlessly with the surroundings in nature, as a strong feeling of becoming part of wholeness in complete harmony. My understanding of what the Shaman said in foreign languages enhanced to a level of 60%, and I gave the credits to San Pedro. We exchanged a lot of information about Shamanic culture and Asian cultures, with the magnificent views over Andes mountains and valleys till sunset. Went to 30+ countries, I had very little knowledge about Peru and did not speak a single word of Spanish when I first arrived there. Given that the public transportation in Peru wasn't convenient for individual travelers & I had little time for research beforehand, I attended tours arranged by 4 different travel agencies instead of going explore by myself. Among all of them, Travel & Healing is most recommended. A perfect journey with mind-body-soul experiences in full aspect."
