"I joined the 4-day Collpa de Guacamayos & Sandoval Lake tour with Andean Top Expeditions, and it was an unforgettable journey into the Amazon. The entire trip was very well coordinated, which allowed me to simply enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. Each day brought something special: the macaw clay lick was truly breathtaking, with hundreds of macaws filling the sky in a burst of color and sound. At Sandoval Lake, we had the chance to see monkeys leaping through the trees, giant otters swimming close to our boat, and caimans resting along the shoreline — moments that felt straight out of a documentary. The lodges were cozy and clean, offering a comfortable stay while still being surrounded by the jungle. The meals were delicious and plentiful, always fresh and full of flavor. Our guide was excellent, combining deep knowledge of the Amazon with a genuine passion for sharing it. Overall, the tour offered the perfect balance of adventure, wildlife encounters, and relaxation. "El tour con el guía Américo fue un completo desastre. En ninguno de los lugares que visitamos nos contó la historia de lo que había sucedido, porqué se habían construido...sin embargo se dedicó a contarnos teorías conspiranoicas sobre la construcción de los templos e historias sin contrastar con ninguna fuente que no sea su único criterio. Además, no nos dejó ni un solo segundo libre en toda la mañana, haciendo que solo pudiésemos ver la parte de las ruinas que él quería, sin darnos opción de poder explorar y conocer otras partes al menos durante unos minutos. También se dedicó a criticar al resto de guías, ya que según él, lo que cuentan no es cierto. Por otro lado, nos dijo que iríamos al mirador del cristo blanco al final del Tour y ni nos acercamos. Por último, con la excusa del desfile, nos dejó a 10 minutos andando de la Plaza de Armas, cuando pudimos comprobar personalmente que el desfile ya había terminado. Siento que he tirado mi tiempo y mi dinero haciendo el tour con esta persona, por lo que estoy decepcionada ya que quería aprovechar mi tiempo en Cusco y aprender todo lo posible."

"Juan was awesome- hilarious, encouraging, open and flexible. We did Rainbow Mountain as an acclimatization hike and he and the driver took great care of us. Made sure we got what we needed out of the trip, prevented me from getting ripped off by a local and made the whole thing fun. Very knowledgeable about the area and a great sense of humor."
