"My wife and I met Christian outside the Ollantaytambo archiological site today when we were purchasing our tickets. He asked if we wanted a guide and we were very interested in this. Christian offered us a few different tours depending on what we wanted and we chose the comprehensive tour. Christian was a fantastic tour guide and gave us a very interesting insight into the area and the history of the Inca people. He is a very good storyteller, both my wife and I had a great time. We asked a lot of questions and he took the time to answer them with a lot of enthusiasm. Thank you Christian!"

"Christian approached us outside the entrance to the site and helped with our purchasing of the tickets (before we even agreed to hire him as a guide) which was a great help. At this point he offered his services and on entering the site he gave us a choice of 3 different routes and prices. We always want to do as much as possible so opted for the longest tour of 2hr 30 mins. ( we are mid 60s, reasonably fit, I have asthma) The steps up to the ruins are easy to negotiate; if not tiring with the altitude but Christian stopped at different terraces and used these stops to fill us in on all the history. His English is superb and you can tell he treats this with a passion which is always great to hear. We learnt so much. He took so many photos of us at various stops and even managed to make me look good (ish😁) After ascending the ruins we spent quite a while at the top and he pointed out another ruins behind the football pitch, (which we visited in the afternoon) . On the steady decent he also stopped a few times. We then visited the lower ruins with more photo stops and we finished off with the Llamas and Alpacas. We can honestly say this was one of ( if not the ) best descriptive tours we have ever had. When it came to payment we were a little short on Soles and Dollars but this was not a problem as his brother has a shop where we could pay by card. This part is what really confirmed how great and trusting the Peruvian people are. There was a festival going on that day and his brother was involved, meaning the shop was shut. Christian told us no problem and that we could arrange to meet him later on to pay!!!! We exchanged phone numbers and returned later to settle up. We did tip in soles cash. If you are in doubt about who to use in Ollantaytambo look no further. Thank you again Christian 👏👏👏"

"I was looking for a guide in front of the Ollantaytambo archeological ruins and met Christian there. He spoke English fluently and provided some information on how to enter the site. After some chatting, we decided to hire him to tour the Ollantaytambo ruins and it was our best decision ever. Christian is very good at sharing the history of the site and information on the Inca culture through very good story telling. He kept us engaged for over 1.5 hours with all the stories and information about Inca history and culture. He was born and raised in Ollantaytambo and we particularly enjoyed hearing the local’s perspective of the archeological site and town. We enjoyed his guiding service so much that we hired him for a full day Sacred Valley tour the next day, starting from Ollantaytambo and ending in Cusco. He made arrangements for a private air conditioned vehicle that fit all our luggage and seated us comfortably. The price he quoted was very reasonable. We stopped at Moray, Maras, Chinchero and at Sacsayhuaman before being dropped off at the hotel in Cusco. In my opinion, hiring a guide is a must because of the rich history of the Incas. He pointed out many things we would not have recognized ourselves, such as location of water channels, archeological discoveries, and including a visit to a tunnel at Sacsayhuaman. I highly recommend the guide Christian and the team of tour guides that he works with."
