Peru Summit Adventures

"We had an amazing experience during our first trip to Peru. I worked with Carlos to plan and coordinate several tours/excursions and they were all excellent and curated to fit what we were looking for. We started with a trip to Machu Picchu, where the tickets, train and bus rides were coordinated and our guide, William was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we left Machu Picchu understanding the history and culture. ​Our next excursion was the Sacred Valley tour where we were picked up by our driver Juan, who was excellent in navigating the rough terrain, and our guide William. During this tour we toured Ollantaytambo ruins, the Salt Mines and Moray. The highlight of the day was visiting Sonia and her family where an absolutely delicious lunch was prepared. This was a truly special part of the whole trip. ​We also did a textile excursion where we visited Andean Colors, a special organization dedicated to helping single mothers who have faced great adversity leverage their textile expertise to support their families. We learned about plants, yarn dyeing, preparing the fiber and much more all set amidst stunning scenery. ​Our last excursion was a hike up Palccoyo "Rainbow" mountain. The easier of the rainbow mountains to hike. The scenery was stunning, there were no crowds and the hike was very achievable. ​I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carlos, William and Juan and the entire Peru Summit team. I was attracted to the organization based on their skills but also their mission of taking care of their people and helping the communities. I saw this in action by engaging with Sonia and Andean Colors but also in smaller ways like buying a special bread before our Palccoyo hike and distributing it amongst community members walking as we drove to our hiking spot. The community members were very appreciative. ​I highly recommend using Peru Summit Adventures for your tours/excursions!"

"If you are planning to visit Cusco or any of the many amazing attractions in and around Cusco, including everything from Machu Picchu to Rainbow Mountain and beyond, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Peru Summit Adventures! They are incredible! I sent my wish list to Carlos and he turned it into a full detailed itinerary for me that was flawless! Our driver, Percy, picked us up at the airport in Cusco and took us to the hotel when we arrived late in the evening the first night. Then the next morning, Percy and our tour guide Simon picked us up at the hotel to take us to the Sacred Valley and had several amazing stops along the way including the Moray Ruins, Maras Salt Mines, the Ollantaytambo Fortress and more! They dropped us at the hotel in Ollantaytambo at the end of the first day and gave us a great restaurant recommendation for dinner. Day 2 we took the train to Aquas Calientes and then the bus to Machu Picchu where Simon guided us through with an awesome tour of the archeological site. We then tried to take the train back to Ollantaytambo but a cargo train had derailed and the trains were down the rest of the day. But Simon and Carlos helped us find a great hotel for the night there rather than waiting it out with hundreds of people in the train station and they also took care of getting our train tickets changed for the next morning. Day 3 after we took the train back with Simon to Ollantaytambo, Percy was there waiting for us to take us to the Pisaq Archeological Ruins and the town of Pisaq where Simon guided us through the ruins and then down the mountain and into the town before they took us back to our hotel in Cusco for the night. Finally, the next morning, Percy came to take us to the airport for our return flight to Lima. Percy and Simon were awesome!!!! The entire experience was incredible and they took care of EVERYTHING for us each day with the logistics, tickets, transportation, tours, etc. Carlos recommended great hotel options for us as well which was the only thing we had to book ourselves. We opted for a private tour so it was just the two of us with the same driver and tour guide throughout the trip. And everywhere we went, so many people knew our tour guide Simon and stopper to say hello to him and he said hello to many people along the way as well. Worth every penny! Best travel experience with any tour company I’ve ver had and they handled so many details for our three days in the Cusco area! We went on the 6 day Sacred Valley Lodge to Lodge trek which was perfect for us. We got to see many amazing Incan sites, at a pace that suited us, and were guided the whole time by Jose. Jose's knowledge of both history and nature, along with his extremely high fluency in English made every walk an absolute pleasure. Coming back each night to comfortable lodges with good food was very much appreciated after walking during the day. Peru Summit also made sure all our lunches were spot on too. Finishing our last trek on the 'short Inca trail' at the Sun Gate was the perfect moment for us. We couldn't ask for more!"
