"Excellent experience overall with TreXperience on the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. The trek itself is absolutely stunning, with spectacular scenery throughout the route. What really made the experience special was the team. Our main guide, Abelardo, was outstanding: professional, knowledgeable, organized, and very attentive. He made everyone feel comfortable, shared insights about local culture, and clearly cared about making sure the group had a great experience. Assistant guides Junior and Abel were also fantastic. A huge thank you as well to the chefs, Beltran and Jhon. The food during the trek was honestly impressive and far exceeded expectations for a multi-day camping trek. TreXperience also adds thoughtful touches like snacks, hot water morning and evening, and hot water bottles, which really improved comfort. A few small areas for improvement: limited toilets at some campsites for the group size, and the final dinner was surprisingly the weakest meal of the trip. Still, highly recommended overall."

"Sergio and Eddy were the best guides we could ask for! They gave us a clear rundown of what to expect the day before. Everything was seamless. The first 3 hours of the hike were a bit challenging but they did a great job guiding us with plenty of breaks, there was no rush. "My husband and I had the adventure of our lives hiking the 4-day Inka Trail to Machu Picchu! The days were long, but beautiful, rewarding, and absolutely unforgettable. The terrain was breathtaking and varied so much along the way, from jungle to rocky rivers to stunning mountain views 13,500 feet above sea level. Our guide, Alex, was kind, encouraging, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was always checking on each member of the group and answering any questions we had. I especially loved the history he shared throughout the hike as we explored Inka ruins, as well as the stories and information he added during dinner each evening. I would definitely recommend requesting him if possible! Jackie, our assistant guide, was also very kind and helpful. She was always offering to take photos and making sure no one was left behind. The campsites and accommodations are rustic, but the meals were terrific. I personally grew up camping, so crawling into a tent and sleeping in a sleeping bag was no big deal to me. I definitely recommend getting the air mattress and hiking poles. I am an experienced hiker and still really appreciated the support of the poles since the trail can get steep both going up and coming down. I also recommend acclimatizing to the elevation for at least two days before starting the hike. The elevation is no joke, and it can absolutely make you sick if you don’t give yourself time to adjust. I am an experienced traveler, and this trip is by far my favorite and most memorable adventure. Don’t put it off. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Thanks again, Alex and Jackie!"

"Wir haben zwei Touren mit Trexexperience gebucht und beide Touren waren ausnahmslos zu empfehlen ! Tour 1: Die 5-tägige Salkantay Tour hat unsere Erwartungen voll getroffen. Gilbert & David waren super Tourguides, hatten immer gute Laune, erklärten sehr viel über die Natur, Peru und Inka und standen für sämtliche Fragen oder Probleme immer zur Verfügung. Das Essen der Köche war köstlich und die Unterkünfte, einer Wanderung entsprechend, sehr gut! Die Kommunikation war stets transparent, wir hatten ein umfangreiches Briefing am Vortag und allgemein antwortete TreXexperience per WhatsApp immer sehr schnell! Mucho WOW WOW!! Tour 2: Wir haben uns für die Sacred Valley VIP Tour entschieden bei der uns der Tourguide Charlie viel über das heilige Tal erklärt und gezeigt hat. Man sieht sehr viel an einem Tag, dementsprechend hat man an der ein oder anderen Stelle nicht zu viel, jedoch ausreichend, Zeit. Auch bei dieser Tour gab es nichts zu beanstanden :)"

"The Salkantay Trek together with a visit to Machu Picchu is amazing and you should do it. We wanted to a have a smooth and comfortable experience so we chose an agency with a higher price and good reviews. Trexperience and its guides do a great job and the guides (Romario and Davidcha) deserve 5 stars for their work. I'm gonna subtract one star for a few little things that bothered me during the trip. It's small things that by themselves are no issue, but added up for me and I want to give an honest review. On the first day we waited a long time for pick-up at our hotel and we would have waited even longer if not some people from our group remembered us. Otherwise they would have left to the starting point without us. I think there was a communication issue. Our group consisted of 12 tourists, 4 of them (including us) were vegetarians. Each meal had several meat options while the vegetarians (one third of the group) got just more veggies. Sometimes a slice of potato and zucchini or even just canned mushrooms. No proteins, which would have been more than welcome on the trek. On the last day you'll take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and we were told that there will be a guy waiting for us with our names to take us back to Cusco. No one showed up with our names. A group that did the same trek during the same time as we did (also with Trexperience) were picked up without issues while we were standing there with no idea what's going on. Luckily they had enough space to also take us back to Cusco. Then we got dropped off at the office in Cusco, again with no one around knowing about us. At least they quickly arranged a taxi to take us back to our hotel. Again I think this is just a simple communication issue. And again I have to say that our guides Romario and Davidcha did an amazing job, they shared interesting information and took good care of us during the trip. With a little improvement in communication and a little more protein and variety for the vegetarian options, this would be an immediate 5 star review."

"LA MEJOR EXPERIENCIA DE MI VIDA. Hice el camino con mis amigas y fue sin duda INCREÍBLE, pensábamos que iba a ser imposible pero a pesar de tener algún momento duro, nuestros guías Edy, Danilo y Willbert hicieron que el camino fuera más ameno ayudándonos en todo momento, siempre muy atentos y super divertidos. Y qué decir de Celso, los cocineros y todos los porters, hacen un trabajo INCREÍBLE, no tengo palabras suficientes de agradecimiento. Fueron 4 días que recordaré toda mi vida gracias a ellos. Sin duda repetiría <3"

"My partner and I did the 2 day Inca Trail and were very impressed with the high level of organisation, and the professionalism and high quality of the guides. The 3* hotel for the night in Aguas Calientes was clean and comfortable and the tour ran smoothly without issues. Dietary requirements were well catered for as were requirements around pick up/drop off in Cusco and Ollantaytambo. 100% recommend using experience as a company and for this tour"
